Windows Vista  Setup

1.Click the Start button; select "Connect To". After the following window appears, select "Set up a connection or network" near the bottom.

2. Click on "Connect to the Internet" then click the NEXT button.

3. Ignore any other connections already configured and click on "Set up a new connection anyway" if it is there.

4. When the "How do you want to connect window comes up, click on "Dial-up" and it will immediately take you to the Information window:

5. Fill out all the information and then click on "Allow other people to use this connection" (and click the Continue button when it asks your permission), then click the "Connect" button. Note: you have to do this or it doesn't keep the connection info you just entered.

6. On the next window, click the Skip button and then click on "Set up the connection anyway". The next window will indicate "The connection to the Internet is ready to use" and you can click on the "Close" button at the bottom right.

To create a desktop shortcut for an existing or new connection: go to Start -> Control Panel. At the top left of the window, click on "Classic View" and then on "Network and Sharing Center". Click on "Manage network connections" on the left pane. In the Dial-up section, right click on the old dialer and select "Create Shortcut". Click "Yes" on the alert window to place an icon on the desktop. Double-click on this icon and then click on "Dial" to start your Internet connection before opening any other programs.

To delete an existing connection: go to Start -> Control Panel. At the top left of the window, click on "Classic View" and then on "Network and Sharing Center". Click on "Manage network connections" on the left pane. In the Dial-up section, right click on the old dialer and select "Delete".

How to Disconnect from the Internet: Double click on the USAtek icon on your desktop. You can also double click on the computer monitors on your Taskbar by your clock. The USAtek Status window should appear. Click the Disconnect button to disconnect from the Internet.
