
To set up Netscape Messenger to read mail from a second account, first make sure all instances of Netscape are closed. (This includes Netscape Messenger and the browser.)
Click on the
button. You will see
a menu similar to the one shown below:

Select the next sub-menues (as shown in the screen following the list below):

You will see a menu similar to the one shown below:

Select User Profile Manager. You will see a menu similar to the one shown below:

Click New. You will see a screen similar to the one shown below:

Click Next. You will see a screen similar to the one shown below:

Type in your Name and E-mail Address. Click Next. You will see a screen similar to the one shown below:

Click Next. You will see a screen similar to the one shown below:

In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box enter the address of your SMTP server. This is the server where your outgoing mail is sent through. If you are using Port Sys for your e-mail , your SMTP server is mail.portsys.net. Usually the SMTP server is everything after the '@' symbol.
Click Next. You will see a screen similar to the one shown below:

In the box labeled Mail server user name enter your user name if it not already there.
In the box labeled Incoming Mail Server enter the address of your POP3 server. This is the server where your incoming mail is stored until you ask for it. Usually the POP3 server is everything after the '@' symbol in your e-mail address. If you are using the PortSys for your e-mail, your POP3 server will be pop3.portsys.net.
The Mail Server type is POP3. Click Finish. Netscape will open up.
Each time you start Netscape, you will see a screen similar to the one shown below:

Select the profile you want to use and click on Start Communicator.
